Barclays Capital : Poland Closer to Join Developed Countries

Poland is one of the world's ten countries that will soon get the label of "developed economies" instead of the so far appellation of "emerging market," Puls Biznesu daily writes citing Barclays Capital bank's analysts.

The global crisis has changed the financial market's perception of "emerging markets", which are no longer a uniform "block," Barclays Capital analysts Eduardo Levi-Yeyati and Piero Ghezzi wrote in their report.

The ten countries in question "conducted fiscal consolidation and showed independence from external sources of financing in the time of global crisis," the analysts wrote.
