"Mr Korwin-Mikke has damaged the dignity and reputation of the European Parliament, where mutual respect and opposition to any form of discrimination are the guiding principles," Schulz said.
Korwin-Mikke known for his controversial views has caused outrage on Wednesday when he compared Europe's unemployed youth to "n*****s" in the U.S. South, as he delivered a speech to other deputies decrying the existence of minimum wage laws.
"Four millions humans lost jobs. Well, it was four million n*****s. But now we have 20 millions Europeans who are the N*****s of Europe," Korwin-Mikke said.
The Socialist coalition urged Korwin-Mikke to apologize or resign for what it called the "worst insult of racist discrimination and humiliation".
