Poland could receive USD 1bn loan from World Bank in 2012

Poland could be granted some USD 1 billion loan from the World Bank to support implementation of its public finance reform, World Bank Country Manager for Poland and the Baltic Countries Xavier Devictor told the daily Gazeta Wyborcza.

"We are preparing a new loan agreement for Poland," Devictor said.
"The value of the loan will be negotiated in the spring but we expect it will be similar to prior operations, that is amount to some USD 1 billion."

The loan will be used to "support public finance reform in line with priorities announced by PM Donald Tusk in his expose," the official said.
