Deutche Boerse filed, as expected, a bid for a majority stake in the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), while banks Pekao and Espirito Santo filed bids for smaller stakes of the Warsaw bourse, the Treasury Ministry said in a statement.
The Treasury will now check the offers against procedural flaws and then launch negotiations with the bidders.
Earlier, three companies: Deutsche Boerse, NYSE-Euronext and Nasdaq-OMX expressed interest in taking over majority stakes in the WSE.
Also, six companies expressed interest in minority stakes in the WSE.
