Listed media group Agora saw its flagship daily Gazeta Wyborcza, suffer a 5.8% year on year decline in copy sales in July to 327,945 copies, but the daily noted a 2.5% increase month on month, data from the press market monitor ZKDP showed.
Axel Springer's tabloid Fakt remains the market leader. Sales of 434.04k were down 7% year on year and down 0.5% m/m.
Broadsheet Rzeczpospolita sold 134.85k copies and was the only major daily to report annual growth of 0.4%. Copy sales were down by 4.8% m/m.
Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, a new daily created in September 2009 as a result of a merger between Dziennik and Gazeta Prawna, posted copy sales of 101.1k, which constituted a monthly increase of 1%.
The #2 tabloid, Super Express, sold 177.93k copies, down 6.8% y/y and up 1.5% m/m.
